Pat Benatar/Neil Giraldo alone were 5 stars!!!!
This was a fantastic concert featuring 3 great bands. Loverboy delivered the hits, closing with the amazing final song, "Everybody's working for the weekend". It was a pleasure to see them once again. We unfortunately missed the first couple of songs due to heavy traffic caused by the sold-out show. Pat and Neil were truly outstanding, engaging with the crowd and leaving us wanting more. The crowd enthusiastically sang along from "All Fired up" to "Heartbreaker", even taking over the main vocals when the mic was turned towards them to showcase their skills, haha. The highlight for us was the final song, a skillful blend of Heartbreaker, Ring of Fire by the Man in Black, and a return to Heartbreaker. Usually, such mixes don't work, but this was absolutely fantastic. It's a relief that they are still performing. Pat mentioned Neil being the first guitarist on MTV, a fact I recalled from watching the network's launch in a New Jersey bar a few years back, haha (shout out to the Buggles for being the first to play "Video Killed the Radio Star"). Keep on rocking, Pat and Neil. Setting up for Slayyyter took some time, with hardware and video screens everywhere. We soon realized that this group is used to playing in large outdoor arenas. Their performance was polished, featuring original members and a lead singer with incredible talent. We have a soft spot for Steve Perry, but this guy is a must-see and must-hear. Slayyyter took us on a rock and roll journey, with "Lights" being the standout moment for us. This was an unforgettable show, especially for those who appreciate the music of the 80s and the legendary rock acts involved.
